Unico socio è Legacoop
Ai sensi dalla legge 59 del 1992, le risorse del Fondo provengono:
• dal 3% degli utili delle cooperative aderenti;
• dai patrimoni residui delle cooperative aderenti poste in liquidazione;
• dagli utili di gestione del Fondo stesso.

Il CCFS è un esempio secolare di intergenerazionalità cooperativa
• Le sue origini risalgono infatti al 16 ottobre 1904, anno in cui fu
fondato il Consorzio Cooperativo per le Ferrovie Reggiane (CCFR) il
primo Consorzio cooperativo ad aggiudicarsi un appalto pubblico per le infrastrutture in Italia: la costruzione delle Ferrovia Reggio Emilia – Ciano d’Enza.
• Fino al 1975 il CCFR si è occupato di trasporti gestendo le ferrovie
Reggio-Ciano e Reggio-Guastalla, attive ancora oggi, ed il trasporto pubblico extraurbano della provincia reggiana.
• Nel 1975, in seguito alla cessione dell’attività di trasporto alla locale
municipalizzata, il CCFR, con il suo importante patrimonio, venne
destinato dalla cooperazione reggiana “alla promozione, allo sviluppo ed al consolidamento del movimento cooperativo e mutualistico”.
